After writing your discussion for Blog Reading Prompt #1 please discuss how your own work is implicitly and/or explicitly political in regards to Salcedo's ideas about what constitutes political art. Two prargraphs (maximum).
Doris Salcedo’s political art is about how we could read meanings to work since the material are familiar but one has to understand time, history and space associated with the material as he or she conceives the work. My practice which also involves the collection of object has these elements of time, space and time as part concept whiles I collects these objects. In some instances, I think that the spectators are expected relate themselves to the work.
